I have 60 once fired Winchester Supreme nickle plated brass in the tumbler right now.

Anyone use the Winchester nickle plated stuff and how many reloads are you getting out of them??

Sounds promising. I bought 60 rounds of the .30-06 Winchester Supreme with the 168 grain nosler from Walmart. Figured i might as well try out the brass on some reloads.

It's good to hear fireforming doesn't damage the plating. I have a AI too (35Whelen).

I just necked up nickeled plated Winchester 300 WSM cases to 350 WSM last weekend. I used the elliptical expander ball in my Hornady universal neck sizing die. I do it all the time with regular brass but thought maybe the nickel plating might flake off possibly. It necked up just fine. Time will tell how well they last. Did up a showy round for fun by seating an old stock Norma steel jacketed .358 250grain Alaskan on top with ReL 15 down in the hold.

They clean up real good, just chamfer(de burr) the inside of the neck not to put to much force on the neck when seating, so they don't crack , all will be fine. They look cool with ballistic silvertip bullets, just keep an eye out for plating coming off , or cracks.

The only thing that prevent's nickel plated brass to be ideal is that the brass becomes harder because of the plating. So, they're a bit tougher to resize, and they do not last as long as pure brass cases.

Aside that, it's easier to clean, doesn't oxidize with time and look nice, especially when topped with a premium bullet.
