I have seen x2 3" in good shape for that price, with 575-600 being more the norm, if a 3 1/2 it is a real good deal.
Unless there is something really wrong with it, that is a good deal. If you can, test fire it. About the only problem that I have seen is a round from the magazine will not cycle properly into the chamber. This is sometimes the reason price is too good to be true. Shoot about a box of shells, two shots at a time. If it has this problem, that should be enough to show up. The problem is usually with a warped lifter and can be fixed, but it is a good reason to offer $100.00 less. This is not a problem unique to the SX-2 but it happens to some degree in all all autos including the b guns. Good luck.
Sounds like a deal to me too unless, as already mentioned, there are some issues. The cheapest I've seen a used SX3 was on Ellwood Epps' site; it was a 3.5" for $730, which was about $850 by the time they added on the charges, fees, and taxes.

The SX2 and SX3 models here in Greece are considered the best semi's in the market now from the American continent.Favoured from marsh hunters because they are well built,dont jam,and pattern better then Italian semi's and the latest Brownings.I hunt with Benelli's and dont know anything more about them,but in the close future Ill buy a SX3 and see if there is any differance in the pattern that is worth mentioning.In Greece decoying is prohibited and any form of calling too in the marsh,lead is still used and limit range shots common,exept for dawn -dusk pass shooting.
