Hello all, I'm the original owner of an SX3 that has the gummy camo job. I hears there was a recall, wondering if anyone has had any success and could point me in the right direction?

Thanks!

Google browning service centers canada. There's a few of them. I just had an x bolt restocked, the new stocks have no duratouch. Turn around time was very fast cause they had the replacement stock in stock.

What was the process? Did you have to send them your stocks back first? Also, did the finish on the stock you got back match the rest of the gun?

Browning owns Winchester it’s very simple go on line find the nearest warranty centre to you send them the gun wait for your restocked gun to come back to you .
There you go

I was only required to provide the serial number of my gun! They sent the new stock rather quickly but youll need to remove the original mounting parts from your old gummy stock and install in the new furniture. My gun is 11 years old so the new stock camo is crisp and sharp and my barrel receiver has changed colour a bit but its for killin and not for fashion shows. SX3 is one of the best semis in my opinion. Light recoiling and extremely reliable.

Browning does not own Winchester.Winchester and the Winchester trade mark are owned by Olin Corp.Olin leases the Winchester name to Browning, who use the name.Winchester ammunition is still produced by Olin and has been since Olin bought Winchester back in the 1920's or 1930's.

I emailed Browning this morning and got an immediate response. They will request your shipping details and serial number of the gun. If the stocks are still being produced, they will ship you replacement stocks without Duratouch finish. If the stocks are no longer available, they will send you a prepaid shipping label and you will be asked to send them your whole gun back. The stocks will then be stripped and dipped to match. Turn around time is 3 months

The Winchester brand name is still owned by the Olin Corporation, which makes ammunition under that name. The Winchester name is also used under license for firearms produced by two subsidiaries of the Herstal Group – FN Herstal of Belgium and the Browning Arms Company of Ogden, Utah.

That's correct.Browning does not own Winchester ,as was stated in another post.Browning ammunition, to the best of my knowledge is manufactured by Winchester.Olin has owned Winchester since Olin bought it back in the 1920's or 30's.

Had my 2008 Citori Lightning camo stripped and dipped a year ago. Lock, stock and barrels. Like new. Sent to Montreal.
