Winchester sx3 obsolete !

I guess I'll just throw out my Fox A grade, Lindner/Charles Daly Diamond Quality, MF Ideal 6R EE and the rest of my SxS. I had no idea they wouldn't work any more now that new models exist.

I wouldn't throw them out just yet there is probably a 100 or so years of shooting in them lol . however if you do feel it nessessary to rid yourself of these old gems .you can ship them my way :) .

In the 2017 Winchester Catalog the SX4 is only available in 12 gauge. So if you want a 20 the SX3 will continue to be your option.

There seems to be very little difference in the specs but did notice that the wholesale price of SX4's was "lower" than comparable SX3 models (for example the SX4 field is around 100 bucks cheaper than an SX3 field) - so they must have cut some corners somewhere - and the SX4 "should be" on the shelf for a lower price than the SX3.

There was no notice/indication at all from Browning that the SX3 would be discontinued.

I'd love to see your Linder Charles Daly diamond

Stay tuned. It's in the restoration shop at the moment. Hopefully will be completed and home sometime in the summer. This stuff takes time. 1902 production Diamond Quality model 275, 30" barrels choked f'ing tight and f'ing tight.

James, Let me know when you are ready to throw out all those useless gun :) I'll even pay for the shipping. John

John, didn't you read?? They're obsolete....don't work any more. Useless! Only good as a paddle, club, boat anchor or plumbing.

The more I read these best gun for this the best gun for that the more I relish my 20 gauge 1100 .
Boat loads of parts and rubber o rings can be sourced at the local hydrolics shop if I need one.
Don't get me wrong, I'll still drool over a A5 in12,20 or 16 too.
Yup, those sx3's are only good for a bateau paddle now, especially the plastic ones cause they still float when tossed into the water.

I noted one subtle hint as to where the cost savings may be coming from, on Hunter model, the specs list the stock as being Turkish Walnut. Is it possible the new model is from from Winchesters source in Turkey rather than Belgium?
