Winchester SX3 Verses Browning Silver

I am about to buy a new shotgun,,,I am down to two choices a Browning Silver or a Winchester SX3. I understand they have pretty much identical workings. The winchester is apealing to look at,,,,,,,any input woulod be appreciated.

I have read alot about them and and its all been good so far. I wish I could buy both there realy nice looking guns,,,,,I will be in the dog house for sure if I bought them both,,hahha
 
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the SX3 and the Silver are the same gun mechanically; the only difference is the name. The Gold, on the other hand, has some sort of speed feed option that is appealing to some.

FWIW, I've used a SX3 since last season and I couldn't be happier. You won't be disappointed :)

You are correct. Name and cosmetics are different. Some/not all Golds have speed feed and/or mag cut off.

Just me, but I like the SX better. Both are winners.
 
Thanks everyone for the replys,,,I took the plunge today and got the Winchester SX3 it wasn't easy since the dealer had a browning silver and gold all in line with the SX3,,,,,,,,,,but the SX3 won...... He also had an unfired Remington 1100,,,I picked it up for $400.00 ( estate sale),,,,,,,,,,,,,my wife will kill me,,,,,,,,,,,, but dam it was fun,,,,,,,,I am not sure if the $400.00 was a deal or not,,,,,,,,thoughts comments
 
SX-3! Good choice! As far as the 1100 goes, if it is unfired it is a very good deal. Gauge? Barrel length? Chamber? Pics would be nice?
 
Good on you for picking the SX3, you won't be disappointed (well, I bet you wouldn't be with the Silver/Gold either, but I'm a SX3 homer :D). Did you pick the synthetic composite? What bbl. length?

And I would say that is a shrewd deal on an unfired 1100. You can never have too many guns eh? :cool:
 
The SX3 is the wood stock with the adjustable butt, it has a 26 inch barrel chamber for 3 inch. I wasn't able to find a black synthetic stock in this area my favorite........... I hope to buy the stock later,,,,I know an expensive way to do it......but I was told if I ordered it would be another $200.00 bucks.

I couldn't pass up the remington,,,,,,as far as to many guns,,,,,,,,,,,never,,,,,,although my wife has a differnt opion,,,,,,on that topic,,,,but gun cabnets do have locks hahahah

Where did you buy this gun in NS?

And how much was your SX3 if I may ask? I saw the prices at Lebaron have increased about 150$ recently.
