Have to start with a huge thank you to Clay at Prophet River for the great service, great price and fast shipping.

Got my new SX3 Walnut Field 12g yesterday, and took it to Abby to shoot trap. Was extremely pleased at how I shot with it. Really light gun, handles really well and looks nice to boot! :ar15:

I have two quick questions to owners of the gun here on the forum...

Mine came with the 2-round mag plug installed. Is there any tricks to opening the top of the tube up and pulling out the plug?

The screw that held the site bead into the rib was stripped when I tried to remove it. (Factory lock-tite?) What are the secrets to getting that out of there? The finish on the gun doesn't look like something I want to heat up to loosen it out of there.

Thanks all!!

The plug is removed by using a screwdriver to depress the end on mag tube (plastic piece). Read your manual it has pictures!

If you are hunting put the plug back in.

There is a special tool for removing bead sites and if you stripped it and broke it, you now need to take it to a smith and get him to drill the old screw out and thread it for a bigger thread. Probably not a smart move. Why not just use a magnetic fiber optic? That's what I use on my SX3 a Hi-viz.

Thanks - saw the pics in the manual. I have used Hi-Viz, but bought a new one from "Dead Ringer" (much better) that is magnetic and can be screwed down also. Dumb, yes - but it's done lol.
