Well i was pleasantly surprised today, My son and i picked up a couple of the new 3 1/2 SXP's from SAIL for $449.00, And went out and ran a couple boxes of shell's throught them, they shoot pretty nice for a cheap shotgun!:D

I just bought a 3" sxp last week at Cabelas and paid the same amount! Now I feel ripped off! Still a sweet gun though, and I really dont need a 3 1/2", so I can't complain!

Hey 1300, how do you feel they are like compared to the old 1200 and 1300?

I prefer the 1300's, however the SXP's I have handled varied in quality, the first I tried was a first run and was not as good as the latest "Waterfowl" setup I tried recently. With a few hundred rounds through it the newer SXP's should be all the gun most would need.

I would rank them a step above the Mossberg 500/535's, which I rank above the 870 expresses, for the money the SXP's are fair buys.

The 3 1/2 chamber is new and I was surprised to see it. We will have to see how the SXP's stand up.

One thing I and others have noticed is that they do not recoil like other guns in the same class, I would say because of the "Speed Pump" feature and the good recoil pad.

Picked one up today at Sail in Beloeil, QC. 449$ for the SXP Waterfoul camo 3 1/2. The guys there were really helpful and even fully disassembled it for me and cleaned off all the factory oil before I took it home. Its a really nice looking gun.

Cant wait to take it to the range on Tuesday ... turkey season opens on the 4th for me!
