Winchester SXP Defender, Lots of Value, Great Price

I bought one earlier this year, they are a great deal for a rock solid shotgun. I wanted it for bears when I am stream fishing with my boys and it's great I have been told winchester makes a longer barrel for the defender and if you can get some in I will buy one from you guys.

I have the older style defender and it is soooo much lighter, faster and smoother than an 870. Unfortunately the options are lacking. The tube on mine holds 7rnds though... I have no idea why they shortened the tube on these ones?

Can you get shorter barrels with chokes for these things and will they fit the older defenders?

They are made in Turkey.

AFAIK, if the gun is made outside the US it can only hold 5 rounds in the mag due to import regs.

Just wanted to add I've had one of these for three years and they rock! I have probably 500 rounds of mixed bird shot, slugs and buckshot through it without cleaning oiling and the gun functions awesome.
Buy one!

Hey I was wondering if the guys and gals at Wolverine Supplies were going to be getting any more of these. I have only heard good things and I thinking it will be a good choice for my first shotgun. I was originally going for a Mossberg 590A1 but for the price of SXP I am thinking it will be perfect.

Thank-You for the quick answer. I am wondering if you could give a ball park arrival of the shotgun. I only ask to help myself determine my best course of action. I want to buy the shotgun from you guys at Wolverine (only heard good things) but have some gift cards and coupons(which expire soon, end of Jan.) for cabelas. So what I am trying to say is that I want to use the cabelas stuff to buy ammo however I'm not sure if I should wait to ensure I get the shotgun.

To be honest I think I'm just over thinking this but I figure it can't hurt to ask. And whatever the answer is on delivery, is there any ammo recommended for the gun and/or myself as a first time buyer?

Sorry for the newbie questions, and Thank-You for your time.
