Don't own the SX3 version but I run a few older Defenders. Super slick and never an issue!

Got SXP for a few years now. Love it.

(The only problem I have is finding accessories/tube extensions for 3-gun competitions)

Thought all the defenders were cylinder bore. Says nothing about chokes on the winchester web site for the defender.

Wish I didn't sell mine. They are great guns with a smooth action. Just saw that they are on sale at BPS, may have to grab one.

The Marine Defenders have Invector+ chokes, which are a nice addition. Not sure why Winchester isn't threading their regular Defenders.

I really like the SXP, but it needs a +1 extension somethin fierce. Is anyone planning to make one for this gun?

Also try the Weatherby PA08TR super nice and better the the Winny at that price range. Both are light years ahead of the 870 express at the current price.

Says made in turkey on the barrel of mine. I thought it felt better and more solid then the mossberg and remington I looked at.

Made in Turkey, hence the 5 round tube limit to comply with US import laws. Just not a lot of aftermarket options for it if you want to pimp it out. I find it works great as is.

Local shop here has the defender, extreme defender, extreme marine defender, and them the field gun. Pretty slick little guns. The extreme defenders come with a muzzle brake and accept chokes. They're a nice little shotgun

I'm really looking for a +2 or even a +1 mag tube extension and one of these pistol grips for mine, though:

I just bought one as well, love it!! Shot slugs , BS etc, all good. I see it is drilled and tapped for a Mount. Saw on the Web could be a Weaver 416M, anyone no if a 416 M would work?

weatherby's have a regular 870 style bolt where as the SXP has the fast rotary type bolt face, way better than the weatherby, faster cycling , I own both

quality on all of mine has been top notch , made in a factory in turkey under direct supervision of Winchester, exclusive design to Winchester
