Also, can the sling plate be removed? (Not my thing)

If the weather clears up, 10 min drive into nowhere for a quick test fire me thinks.

No worries.

That 14" was a quick modification on MS paint ha ha. No such gun / barrel available yet.

Would be the most sought after gun if it was, the current gun is lighter than my 14" mossy by a mile and cycles better. Only gripe is feeding shells into the mag tube, kinda starts to wear on the fingers. Put 50 through it today without incident, high and low brass.
 
I like mine. I drilled and tapped it and put a weaver base on it with a bushnell red dot. Works like a charm. I'm actually buying it's big brother the extreme defender.

Picked up an SXP Extreme Marine Defender this past week, was looking for the Extreme version for the extra kit it has already that I wanted; ATI pistol grip stock, picatinny rails, ghost ring sight; still waiting to get a chance to put it through it's paces, but first impressions are very good - lightweight, the ghost ring sight just plain works for me, and the slide action is absolutely A+++.

Where did you locate an extension for tje Defender that extended up to the end of the breacher? I thought S&J only made a +2 that ended at the barrel? Is that +3?
