Winchester SXP furniture source?

I have an SXP Trap model.

Unfortunately when I bought it I did not understand fit, and the high comb of the stock definitely does not fit me.

My preference would be to swap the entire stock with one from a SXP Field model, since I've found that I can shoot just about any field type gun well.

SO

Anyone know where I could source some OEM furniture for my SXP?

Failing that I could try aftermarket, but it's hard to find anything that isn't tacticool in that market space...


I was just going to sell the gun, to the point of listing it, but it's such a nice action that I'd as soon keep and use it if I can make it work for me rather than lose a wad on it.
 
I would post a WTB ad in the EE since ATI makes a fairly popular pistol grip/AR style stock for the SXP so there is a good chance someone has the OEM field stock in their parts bin...
 
Sell it and buy an older 1300 they fit a lot better than the high combs of the sxp/sx3 guns.

But trap guns have a high comb for a reason.
 
You may find you dont shoot it any better with a standard stock as the trap model has a high ribbed barrel and with a lowwer cheek weld the rib is likely going to intefere with target picture and to compensate you will raise your head off thevstock.
Best bet is to sell it and find a gun that fits you the way you feel comfortable with.
 
The ATI one is offered specifically for both Winchester and Hatsan configurations, so I'm not sure if those two Turkish brands are interchangeable.

Not sure. I probably have a fat enough face and stiff enough neck that it wouldn't hurt to try.

I've a few guns now, so it's not like I need this one. Just thought I might repurpose it. The support just isn't there, though - little out there for stocks (unless I want a tactical trap gun), and forget about barrels.

I may well just end up selling it in the end.
 
I have an SXP Waterfowl and find it fits me very well... but not every stock will fit each person. Depends on your shooting style and head dimensions I guess...

But yeah if it comes down to it, time to sell and buy a new toy!
