Winchester SXP serious issue.

Thanks for the help guys. I tore it right apart down to nothing, couldn't see any evidence of it tampered with (Also I'm know 'smith, just very mechanically inclined). However, for a "brand new" gun it sure was oiled like someone before me tore it right down. It's with the smith now, I PM'ed the seller the amount the 'smith quoted me and haven't heard back.

Is it proper etiquette on CGN to post the a**holes screen name?

Not sure if it is real necessary. All one has to do is check your rating and the seller can be identified. I'd wait and see if he responds yet to your pm about the cost. If he sees this post and realizes he can be identified, he may decide to do something about the issue.

If it was anything like mine, when I first brought it home, there was so much packing grease in the receiver, that I doubt it would have been safe to fire! It was definitely a real pain in the butt to clean up! Grease was all over the bag that it was wrapped in and the ejection port side of the receiver had it gushing out! Took it apart and gave it a real good clean, a quick lube job, and she fires great! Here's hoping you get it firing safely. Really fun gun to shoot, hard getting used to that gas assist pump though!

Got it back this afternoon. John Gretch in Mount Forest looked at it. Said somebody had definitely been in it that didn't know what they were doing, and that it was severely f***ed. Anyway it's functioning properly now.

So much for my BNIB EE deal.

The issue with the fire arm was unknown to. like i said in the post on the EE it was purchased new from Cabelas and i had never fired the Shotgun. i ran some snap caps through it befor i shipped it to dahs and to me shell went in firering pin hit the cap when the trigger was pulled and snap caps ejected.

the shotgun sat in the safe from day of purchase.

i didnt send it knowingley with a problem if the was a problem while in my posseson i would have sent it to winchester for warrenty repair.

what he is doing is act strait up acting that i tried to ripe him off. and his attitud from his first complaint to me about it was just like that. like im some crook looking to F**k him over that is why i am hesatint to be cool with him.

I do believe I'm being quite civil for being sold a gun that could have quite easily hurt someone, had you sold it to a careless idiot. A very reputable gunsmith JUST told me it had been screwed with somewhere in between the factory and my safe. Who was that? Canada Post?

Effective imediately there will be no longer any type of EE Forum rants on bad deals or deal issues.

This is causing too much of a headache and inciting a "Mob" mentality amongst forum members.Usually only one side of the story gets to be told until the other party finds out, and by that time the damage is done to someone's reputation before all the facts are present.

The EE Forum is a "Buyer Beware"/ Use at Your Own Risk system. Members are to Use the Trader Rating/Feedback system and determine from that info if they wish to do business.

All members are encouraged to leave appropriate feedback for transactions.

Do not contact Moderators Or the Admin with Bad Deal issues or disputes. We will not be getting involved in any disputes from now on in.

Any abuse of the Feedback system will result in removal from the EE Forums.

Any Rant/Bad Deal type posts will be removed without warning or explanation.

Thank You.
