Winchester SXP

Has anyone used a Winchester SXP pump? I was just about completely sold on a Mossberg 500 combo but when I saw pictures of the SXP I thought... "Damn, that is a ###y lookin' shotgun". They are both about the same price point.

I was looking at the field version not the defender because I will spend more time breaking clay than anything else.

I havent used one but a local shop has a defender model in so I had to play with it. The first thing I thought was its a nice tight mossberg 590 18.5". except the bead isnt mounted lower than the reciever. Its got some nice stippling on the grip that I almost thought was hogue rubber for a second, very grippy. It was brand new but the action was pretty smooth, should be butter after some good use. I liked it, and for $300 I'm thinkin about pikcing one up.

I like the forestock on the field version, I wonder if it would work with the Defender barrel in place? Doesn't look like there's a reason why it wouldn't. Then add a sling and side saddle. Boom, boom.
