Winchester Trapper barrel band question

Seems like you might want a different band then. What groups do you normally expect? With the same ammo with my 20" barrel 94 and stock crappy sights I'm happy with anything under 2.5"@100 yards with my tiring eyes.

My grouping seemed consistent with another trapper written about somewhere else on the internet. I will only be shooting reloads from now on (I bought the ammo just for the brass), and I am looking into getting a williams receiver sight. I'm not a big fan of the open sight.

If you want to get rid of your old open sight let me know as I'm need of one cause my .32WS is missing one. Or Id be willing to swap my old front band for it.

My best load for those trappers is 35grn of LVR pushing a 160 ftx @ 2130 fps. If you want to check that rifles accuracy, I would suggest making very sure there is no copper or lead fouling in the barrel as I have found lots of these rifles with enough build up inside them to affect the accuracy. If that is all sparkly then remove the barrel bands, mag tube and the forearm. Try grouping it supporting it under the front of the reciever. I find this gives the best groupings, then you know what that rifle is capable of. I have trappers that will shoot 3/4"moa and I also have trappers that won't do any better then 2.5moa.
