Winchester universal 12ga

$122 for 100 rounds of #7 at my local Walmart....

What the heck is going on I get price increases but birdshot for over 1$ per round , that is absurd even in these times

Cabelas has 00 buck for 4.99 for 5 rounds

For those prices challenge yourself and shoot clays with 00 buck

Probably the crappiest shells out there too. Some of the old price tags were there, $54 I think. That is quite a jump for sure...

CTC stores are "independent" and prob had 'old stock' that wasn't selling. Local CTCs have very little - I spoke with one Store Mgr and he said he was just keeping a bit for casual buyers that just want a box of ### . He can't compete prices with local BP store 2 blocks away.
And BOTH Wallys in town have dropped ammo and firearms Completely !!

My 2 local Walmart mart have dropped ammo completely ad well, thought maybe this was a trend canada wide

A flat is 10 boxes, the old cases ,used to be 20 boxes. Some places sell boxes of 100 shotshells. As for the Universals, they are about the worst crap that I have seen for shotshells, many semi autos won't cycle them.

One of my older shotguns won`t extract any Winchester, gunsmith said it was built for tighter tolerances back in the day and he figures Winchester rims have gotten a little out of spec and the extractor won`t grab them properly. Just Winchester brand. I normally get challenger, but have not seen cases of that around here in a while.

I've never had a problem with the Winchester last ones I saw, and bought, were $40/100. I buy them for around the farm, mostly plinking and shooting skunks.

My stevens 58 has a problem with them only when the temps are above freezing. mainly the hunting loads with the aluminum case heads it won’t extract them as they swell too much. I was hunting last year with a mixed bag of shells and didn’t have an issue with them. I do like the cheddite hulls in challenger and Canadian tire imperial(loaded by challenger).

Just order from Tenda, probably best bang for the buck these days with free ship over 300$ ( ammo included )
