Came across a small supply of these .22 LR '3/1 segmenting expansion' rounds yesterday, no chance to shoot them yet so I'm wondering if anyone has had any real life experience with them. Back in the long ago I had some segmenting .22 LR rounds, made by Eley I think, and those were effective on woodchucks (groundhogs) whose burrows were creating problems, but maybe not more so than regular supersonic hollowpoints because they were regular velocity and the tradeoff wasn't obvious in the results. But what about these Winchester rounds? Premium priced of course and hey the menacing red box is really cool!
