a lot of this depends on the RIFLE/PISTOL as well as the ammo- and the AGE of both- i went through 6 different kinds of ammo for my beretta before i found one that fired "alright" meaning that i could get a whole mag( 10) without a misfire- the same ammo in the 10/22 just cranked through like nothing- your typical federals start to get misfires down near the bottom of the brick, and some guns are set up for 40 grain solids, and the 36 hps give trouble- that's one of the reasons the 25 is preferred over the 22 for self defense
