winchester wildcat 22

Noticed that these are now available on Cabela's. Vids starting to show up on YT. A lot of positives. Few negatives such as COO (Turkey), accuracy but got to look at price point, if using Ruger 10/22 mags will not hold open on last shot.

For a cheap plinker it may fit the bill. Compared to a base 10/22, it is ahead in its features.

It's on my list for a semi auto 22, but the 10/22 takedown and Buckmark rifle are at the top but there are pricy in itself. 10/22 TD is $500 and the Buckmark rifle is $800, whereas the Winchester is $330

I like the features but plastic even for the receiver? I guess it must be ok, there's nylon 66's around with 100,000 rounds through them. Probably make a great little plinker....lightweight, easy to takedown and clean, peep sight, easy to load mag, last shot bolt hold open.

None in stock at any Cabelas.ca I work for a Platinum level Browning/Winchester and just checked stock and zero available in North America

The new Winchester Wildcat rifle is a plastic stocked semi-auto.

At one time, within the last two decades, Winchester marketed a Russian-made rifle, the TOZ 78, as the Winchester Wildcat. It is quite different from the more recent version.

Thank you for sharing that ad. That was going to be my first rifle over 12 years ago, but I ended up going with a used .22. I always felt like I missed out on that rifle, I hope I can find one someday.
