Winchester Wildcat question.....?

Just a quick question for you guys.

Does anyone know if the barrel on a Winchester Wildcat is threaded or is it pinned? I was originally going to go for a Savage but I noticed that the barrel was pinned on a Mark II.

I also know that this rifle is based on a TOZ-78. I do not really like the look of the Russian stock, which leads me to the Wildcat as a project gun of sorts.

If your getting the Wildcat, spring the extra $30 for the target version. Your right the Wildcat has TOZ-78 stamped on the barrel.

stay clear of the wild cat, i held it...looked at it....shook my head. even looks cheaply built from a distance and the bolt and bolt handle must be built from the cheapest metal money could buy. Spring for a savage, they are accurate right out of the box regardless of how the barrel is attached.

For a rimfire, I highly doubt that there's any disadvantage at all with a pinned barrel

The TOZ78's were a good deal when they were $100......not so great at $300 of whatever the Wildcat is running.
