I have heard this is a good powder for loading lead as it smokes less. I am having trouble finding some and wanted to know if anyone uses WST for loading pistol?
I want to load both 40 major and minor. Major loads will be loaded long.

If you know of a shop in BC stocking WST that would be good info as well.

Thanks,

WST works well. I use it for my 45ACP. Meters well and is cheaper than a lot of other powders.

As for making major loads with it, i would not try that. It is not designed for that and my experience shows it's only good for mild loads good for plinking.

I use it in my 38 spl loads, for PPC. 2.5gr of WST behind 148gr HBWC.

It works well for me and the handful of others I know that use the same load.

For 9mm I use Titegroup.

I used about 2lbs of WST in 7.62x54R with good to very good results.
That powder came to me free since it was 25+ years old and owner didn't have any use for it.
12.7Gr of it under 155Gr Lee cast worked for me and you can calculate how many round would that be from 2lbs :D
