I've been looking for a .308 bolt gun for a while. Seen these around, they look pretty solid. Anyone have experience with them? Are they cracked up to what they claim to be? Any input would be appreciated.

I just purchased a Remington Model 7 in .308win.
One left at this store ................. I believe.
Might be a better option than the XPR?

I've looked at what you posted and left with a "meh" thought.
Price point, maybe a better used rifle?

Yeah my thoughts too kind of. They boast moa accuracy out of the box, and claim to have a very good trigger which they call the "moa trigger" lol. Most reviews seem pretty good.. they are saying its the new upgraded version of the model 70 which is a great rifle. I'm curious if its all marketing or if the rifle is really as good as what they are saying.

Mostly marketing, the only thing it shares with the M70 is the trigger, the bolt and receiver are the same as Browning's AB3 made in Japan (FN owns both of them). Winchester claims it's made in Portugal, but that's only where they are assembled.
If you do a quick google you will see the same bolt and 80% same receiver, Winchester went with Savage style barrel nut on it instead of the recoil washer, and use a recoil lug in the stock sort of like Savage Axis. Basically a cheaper manufactured AB3 with less machining on the receiver.
Not a bad budget rifle, I have a pair of AB3's and they are pretty nice for a budget gun. I like the mags better on the AB3, and they have a decent trigger system too, lightweight for carrying around.
