Unfired, in the box with the book and ammo.Looking for comments as to the value of this gun and where a guy might get the best dollar for it. thanks for any feedback.
"...unfired and in the box..." Are the boxes still sealed? If not the limited value drops. There's really not a lot of collector interest in commemoratives. You'd have to find somebody who wants them. Far too many made and other than the name on it there's nothing special about them.
For what it`s worth. If you aren`t strapped for cash, I`d hold on to it for abit. Winchesters are starting to increase in value abit now that they are being made across the pond.
In the Blue Book they list for $795 for NIB. They haven`t been at that price here for quite afew years. They`ve been running in the $550-$600 at gunshows. You do see them for show to show carried around by the same dealers. I do the gunshow tour so I know pretty much what every dealer has here. I have the same gun which I shoot all the time and it shoots very well. 44-40 is a good round to play with.
Your playing the lottory in waiting, it's likely a good idea right now, but if rumours of Winchester firing up production again start, values will drop.
No, I'm not interested, I only buy shooters
