Winchoke compatibility

Thinking of purchasing a barrel that's been modified to take the win choke system. I want to use it for turkey, so I'll need to buy a turkey choke for it. My question is, is there any current manufacturers that make a turkey choke compatible with the win choke system?

Thanks

Depends on the winchoke style. Is it the original winchoke or the original browning invector flush mount? Two completely different chokes and yes Briley, Carlson’s etc make winchoke compatible tubes.

Original Winchoke

The win chokes from the 70's and the standard invector chokes inter change as well as mossberg chokes . The invector and the mossberg fit flush

All three designs of the winchoke interchange, The third design was the flush choke
Only the winchester model 59 was different it had a Versalite choke
I have a Stan Baker fitted trap barrel here somewhere for one of my 870 tc's that have the initial version that came out in 69, he also did the forcing cone

He called them the " money maker" and was way ahead of his time backboring

Some old trap shooters here hint hint :) may remember Stan or his name/barrels it was not hard to tell someone was using one. They had a different bark to them

Winchester had tubes six years ahead of remington when they tried a few briley square threads in 1985 then finally settled almost 2 years later on the remchoke

I have one 1985 1100 rem fitted with that rare briley choke tube factory
Cheers

I had a Baker modified barrel on my 1100 Tournament Trap. It had been 34” and was cut back to 32”, screw choked, ported, lengthened forcing cone and refinished in a bead blasted matte blued finish. Combined with an all steel Timney trigger and Morgan adjustable pad there wasn’t much Remington left on it, lol

LOL Why did I know you would have :)
Mine is still a 34" if I remember right and I forgot about the porting, that is what would have given it the bark. I still have some morgan pads fitted on rem stocks ( two I think) but think I sold off the trigger

Not many of us left my friend that would remember him I would say or shot one of his barrels . Those were the days IMO

It’s definitely not a name you hear nowadays. I would suspect Mr Baker has moved on to the great trap range beyond with calm skies and perfect presentations every pull? And I kind of suspected who you were referring to by “old trapshooters”! You forgot about the porting and I forgot about the barrels being called “moneymakers”. See, sometimes two heads are better than one!! ;)
That old moneymaker 1100 earned me a 10th place finish and High Foreign Champion trophy after shoot-offs at the 1987 Grand in the 200 Singles Championship with 8 of us tied for third with 199x200. With the .685 choke I used exclusively it was definitely a “choke for smoke” setup.

Sorry for the derail OP....us old trapshooters get caught up in the past at times. I was not aware all three versions of winchoke were interchangeable? I was sure when I tried the flush mount chokes in my 101 Pigeon Grade in my 101 Waterfowler years ago they didn’t fit, maybe I am thinking of something else I tried? Oh and you won’t need a specialized turkey choke. Just thread a full into the barrel and head for the pattern board to see what load works best.

The can use the old Winchoes in place of the flush tubes in my Mossberg 930. Makes choke changing much easier.

The threads and throats are all the same on the winchokes so should be fine to replace the mossy accu-chokes. Try to fit one and let us know what you see
I don't know why you would want to however since the old style winchokes were real bad for backing off and needed that special wrench to keep tight. Hand tight they would get lose quickly
Cheers
