Windage and Elevation Question -Bushnell EliteTactical

5rds is all that would be needed.

But always nice to burn powder.. good luck and let us know how it works out

in case you did turn the knobs the wrong way, don't worry.. it happens to us all.

PS, a little trick to make sure you dont get "lost in the moment". On a target with a grid, right down the W/E value for several points of impact. Do it now while you aren't busy with shooting and can double check clearly before you go to the range. Now you just dial the scope to match the value of that location and the shot better hit it.

Up 3 mins would have a marking of "3"... down 3 mins would be "9"... windage Right 3 mins would be "3"... left "9".

upper right would be E-3 W-3 and so forth. Write it on the target so you dont need to second guess when testing. This is also part of the "box testing" you hear about. the POI is moved in predetermined amounts around the center and the shots should form correct groups in each corner. From there, you can increase the adjustment amount to check all sorts of scope tracking.

Perfect,
Thanks a lot Jerry. I'll give that a shot so to say. Pardon the pun. I'll be back to this thread in a couple of days. Ive got to do some reloading tonight and get ready..

Cheers! Rich.

like this: (based on the numbers on the turrets on scope in the attached image in previous post)

I have a Bushnell scope that is backwards. The reticle moves the way it's marked on the turrets. If I want to add 11 minutes of elevation to go from my 100m zero to get to my 500m zero, I have to turn the turret in the down direction. This moves the reticle down 11 MOA. Once I figured this out, I threw it on the shelf.
