On the weekend past I had an opportunity to look over a Windham Weaponry WW-15 and it seemed like a well made unit.
My search function isn't co-operating and the topic has probably been hashed over on here before, but I'd really appreciate hearing some comments and opinions especially from owners before I lay down money.
Also any suggestions for optics for general target use would be most appreciated...

My buddy has 970 through his with zero stoppages. Groups decently, fit and finish are good. I will have a better idea regarding durability in 15k plus rounds.

Al Flaherty's is selling them I've also heard good things but have not had the chance to try one yet.

Two people shot with them this past saturday at a service rifle match. One of them is a friend of mine.

Solid platform. No issues.

My only gripe is the commercial spec buffer tube, but that is an easy fix.

If you are considering one, give us a review.

Company made up of former Bushmaster employees I remember reading somewhere on another AR forum. They are supposed to be a good "go bang for your buck" AR15. Lots of good AR15 rifles have come out of Maine.

I find the quality to be quite high for the cost, fit and finish are nice, and its got a few features that low cost carbines often don't, IE the railed gas block, sling attachments, flat top rail, removable muzzle device, government profile barrel.

Never failed me yet, and the accuracy is quite good for a basic AR. There were two ex Canadian forces out the last time I was shooting. They both commented on how, being that I was very new, how accurate it was. the one guy mentioned it at least 3 times in our talking. Iron sights, 50 meters, 10 round groups to be covered by a toonie for the most part.

mine is a 16" barrel, carbine length gas system setup.

Oh, and they have a TRANSFERRABLE LIFETIME WARRANTY!!! what other product can make that claim, let alone a FIREARM!

JR, did you say yours has iron sights ?
The one I was looking at has no sights... only a rail which is why I was wondering what would be a good choice for a sighting system ?

Gret value, nice fit and finish, removable flash hider, great warrenty and local support.

Have a C-More dot on mine, but used a NF 5.5- 22 NSX for load development.

2500-3000 rounds with no issues. ( Bought the first one Freedom Ventures had in stock)

Not "high speed" but definitely a good sporting AR
.

Ummm, ya, whatever the hell that means.

I love mine, shoots amazing, high quality material, construction, barrel and BCG.

Mine is great it's the SRC model, I've seen a lot more expensive rifles without the fit, finish or even the specs of my WW. I'm in the process of customizing mine too and the only issue as mentioned and it's not much of one is the stock I want to upgrade to isn't offered in a commercial tube that can be changed easy enough. Most stock makers offer commercial options however that require noting to change other than the cost of the stock. I'm actually considering getting a second WW rifle, just trying to decide if I need another one or a better/different optic more.
