Window Mounts

I just have one that came with a bushnell, found it awkward to mount it and then remove it and mount again then remove when looking for game around large open terrain. Binoculars are just so much quicker to use.

I'm not really sure what the best use of them would be, pain in the butt if the weather is really cold or really hot, or the mosquito's are thick, plus you can't swap back and forth to other windows any quicker, and you kind of have to pivot your body around them as they swivel point is at the window, perhaps if your only spotting game in one direction with say trees to one side of you it may work, but for me they just seemed kind of cumbersome and I have no interest in bringing it out with me for a spotting scope looking for game again, just my experience though.

They are indeed a PITA to use if you are constantly putting them on the window and taking them off again. If you think you may be in one location for awhile they can be great. The one I have (sorry, it's old and I don't know the brand) has the quick-release-plate mounting system like most tripods, and in conjunction with an angled-eyepiece scope I find it very convenient to use. It's easy to adjust the scope into a position than allows me to sit comfortably while scoping. I found that the long handle that is used for panning and moving the scope is neither desirable nor necessary, so I've removed it and simply move the scope manually.

Thanks for the noted above responses. I really don't mind installing or removing the window mount. It's great for pre-season scouting, hunting and photography. It's that I may be purchasing a Swarvoski spotting scope and wanted to know what may be the latest/greatest window mount in todays world. Thanks again gentlemen!
