Wingmaster 870 barrel chop

I simply don't have the time to make a entire new stock. I dont even have time to go shooting :-( But next week I will start modifying the old one.

Im thinking of staining with red mahogany and finishing it off with a dozen coat of linseed oil.

Mine started out just like that one($289 from Eaton's.). No plastic stock. Just installed a recoil pad. Piper cutter to the barrel and several years later the barrel split about 3" +, lengthwise, from the muzzle. Don't think it had anything to do with cutting it or anything else of that nature. I'm just glad I noticed it as I was setting up for my next run at a plate shoot. New barrel cost me another $300.

No marks at all with the tape. I only did 1/4 turn at the time so there wasn't much pressure on the tool head and guide wheels.

It did leave a lip on the inside of the barrel, but the reamer and my round file took care of that.
