Wingmaster "Ivory" Front Bead

Me honestly I use nothing. When I first started shooting skeet I would mention the bead and pick up my gun for the next round to find the bead missing
Took me a couple of beads to get the message from the boys and I never looked back
But it is all I think what you are comfortable with. I know if I focused on any bead now I would stop the gun
Cheers
My issue with it I’m left eye dominant but right handed. Can’t hit much with both eyes open. Honestly I’ve never tried without a bead. Maybe it would help.

So am I. There is one true solution IMO. I shot for over 20 years like that but could never get my scores consistent , followed by a car accident which made me decide to switch and shoot left handed. I think my first round was three of 25 and the boys thought I was nuts
Took over three years to get my scores back and I have never looked back
All of my guns are still right handed but I shoot them left
A lot of rounds to get back and better than I was but worth it IMO. One has to shoot shotgun with both eyes open
There is other methods also which someone will chime in I would say and share
Have you ever tried to shoot left handed
All the best

How long did it take you to feel comfortable shouldering a rifle or shotgun on the left? I've decided to try to learn to shoot right handed this year, I'm left handed and left eye dominant but I'm totally used to shooting with both eyes open thanks to pistols and shotguns, I'd like to give it a shot but it's the shouldering that feels so unnatural to me.

Humm. Rifle not long at all maybe 6-9 months since I was using a scope but could no longer use my lever actions nor could I use a left hand rifle
Back then I was shooting two days a week min 5000 rounds a year shotgun and that took probably 18 months min. I remember early on as a joke would shoot 1/2 the skeet field right and switch and shoot the other half left
The boys would say that is not acceptable but we were just shooting for fun. Then one day one of them said shoot the other half right like you did prior and I honestly could not even load the gun. It was gone and been 100% left ever since
Cheers

Interesting, I'm going to try to learn just to see if I can do it. I think it would be a good skill to have as all my bolt guns are right handed. Going to start out with an sks and a bolt action .22 to keep ammo cost down and be able to shoot more volume. I'm fine shooting my shotgun lefty as normal.

Thought I'd give an update on this thread. Kathleen from Gravel Agencies came through and got me the missing chokes and a new front bead. Took quite a while because parts were backordered but it wasn't a problem since I don't shoot much in the winter anyway.

Thanks to all for your input.

She is great to deal with and delightful on the phone.
Glad it worked out.
