Looks like we have a vice. We're just trying to find a welder.

Hungry here: We have to decide whose receiver wrench we are gonna use for any indexing or re-barreling. I have the pull through .308 finish reamer should any potential new barrels be short chambered. Let's see what kind of shop/vise/bench setup we have to work with first. Hauling tools to Edmonton on 08 Nov 2008 weekend was heavy.... :rolleyes:

It would seem that I have ended up with a spare new in the package Springfield handguard. I'll bring it in case anyone wants to buy one.
 
It's 1 3/4", just opened up a bit on the grinder. See if it fits around your receiver ring right where the barrel meets the receiver. Princess Auto... don't pay more that $ 14.00

I'll be happy to bring the jaw blocks for the vise. The receiver wrenches are heavy and prohibitive to carry along in my suitcase. In Edmonton, I carried just enough underwear and socks to last. Just wore the same clothes, less weight; more tools to bring along. Also had to cart along 100 syringes, more shim stock for you guys to bang out.... :D
 
Ok, I'll go grab one but you'll have to bring the jaw blocks. I'll also make sure to have a drill, some bits and a set of C clamps. Let us know if there are any other items you want us to pick up locally so you don't have to lug them along.

Yes, I'll bring the jaw blocks. That wrench will save me a pile of weight. C clamps are great about 4" is a decent size. I'll bring the high tech parallels. I'll be happy to leave my C clamps at home...

Hey Hungry! I don't (yet) have an M14, just upgrading from a POL to PAL now. I would like to snag one when I can though, do you figure the workshop will make sense without having a toy to bring?

Hungry here: Yes come on along. I've discovered at these clinics, there is always someone who will bring their TWO M14's to tighten up. Free labour from your part!

The Norinco M14S pictured here is up for grabs. I figured I'd offer it to you local boys before putting it in the EE.

This rifle came from Dark International, inspected by Rodger for proper fit and function. Round count is under 120. It comes with:

2 - 5/20mags
2 - 5shot mags
80 pieces of .308 brass
the coveted eBay Garand rear sight
I've even got the original box :).

Other than the rear sight the gun has not been tinkered with. Shoots great and the action has a nice ring to it. Condition is excellent.

$500 plus shipping or maybe just take it home with you after the clinic???
I've also got two boxes (40 rounds) of Remington UMC .308 150gr FMJ - $35
