Winona Varmint Challenge

I'm checking if Winona Varmint Challenge in Grimsby is still on? The match is this coming Sunday, August 30th, according to ORA calendar.

I was informed from ORA (e-mail) that most ranges are closed.

If it is still open then I'd like to attend. Who is going too?

It says the ranges are still open at Cedar Springs and Winona but no markers are allowed to be in the butts. I would get in contact with the gentlemen who looks after/runs The Winona range for the ORA. Hope that helps.

Bad news: It is cancelled, according to ORA calendar. It didn't say why it was cancelled.

Hi - I'm the local ORA rep for Winona - sorry we could not have the event as we planned. If you look at the ORA website, we had a message regarding the cancellation. There were safety concerns identified by the CF that require repairs to the range. It means that the shooting we normally run could not go ahead. It is due to not being able to have markers in the butts.

We are hoping to get additional dates however the fall is a busy time on these ranges for military units and their training. We absolutely plan to have the event in 2016 - I will see about having it earlier in the schedule.
