Winter camo stock

I like the snow camo.
Pity I'd never have a use for it.
Grasslands or desert would almost be more useful.

To quote Paul Holmberg from Remington Arms; \"Canada represents 4% of our market. We really don\'t care what happens to you.\"
I know this is off thread, Gatehouse, but I thought you owned a couple of Rems.
Are you sworn off them now?
It's a pretty arrogant and bloody minded attitude for them to take.

Agreed, but it is an obvious and realistic attitude for them to take. But, did he actually have to say it? Not much of a politician... ...

This stock I started with is black.

I think with the Stevens, which is kind of blue, I am going to stencil on some black leaves, then "dust" it with white, to obscure much of it.

Then I'll start from dark brown and then olive green and then khaki, so the lighter colours keep layering over the dark.

Finish it off with another 'dusting' of white, and it should be good, and even have suitable 'depth.
Dude, are you one of the "Designer Guys"? :D :p lol...
j/k
Looks pretty good. I'd like to see a pic of it all put together.
Hey, who's gonna cammo paint you?

Kombi, I odn't own any remingotns except a Remington aciton on a a custom 22-250AI.

I have never been much of a Rmemy fan, they don't do it for me.;)

Sure, it may seem that way.
But not necessarily.
A friend worked for PolarCup who produce soft drink and coffee cups for the takeaway food industry.
His bosses were only really interested dealing with big orders like KFC and McDonalds.
But he persisted and showed management that by chasing their smaller customers and making decent deals with them that there was a significant share of the market that they could make serious money out of.
Granted, it isn't guns but my friend got some big commissions out of sorting that sort of stuff out.
Sooner or later elitist attitudes like Paul Holmberg's get you into serious trouble.
Imagine what the shareholders would say if there was a 4% drop in profits and someone had to tell them it was because an executive had told 4% of their market they didn't give a damn about it?
4% is only $4 out of $100 but it's $40,000 out of a mil.
And the more money you make the more small percentages make a difference.
But I'm WAY off thread here.
Let's see that barreled action back in the camo'ed stock, eh?;)

So, I just painted my whole Stevens .223 in "winter camo"

I think it looks great...

I will post pics tomorrow, when I get to work.

Critique invited!;)

Wow!
That really does look good.
How careful were you around the trigger, bolt and other moving parts?
What sort of scope is on it?

I stuffed the reciever full of paper towel, and taped up the trigger and safety.

The scope is an Elite 3000

It took me most of the evening to do it.From about 830 to 1130.

And I was kinda drunk, too...:p

That'll really help break up the pattern.:p
Did you use a primer or is it just sprayed straight?
