Wisconsin Buck threatens to take World Record away from Hanson Buck....

Not sure what all the hoopla is about went it comes to records. Bragging rights I guess. That rack should look good in his den. Nice looking buck though. Should make nice sausages.

A world record whitetail can make the guy who shot it a fairly wealthy fellow. FS

Nice buck, but he's got no chance to be in the top 20, let alone a new world record.

I always thought the Jordan buck was the most impressive rack, never did care for the "looks" of the Hanson buck.

Guess it depends on your definition of wealthy. If a guy like Jim Shockey shot a world record whitetail, I'd sure he could make some serious cash from endorsements and public appearances but if Joe Avereage shoots one, he might find someone to pay $100k for the rack but other than that, I doubt it would be much.....maybe $10-50k depending on how hard you wanted to work and how much you wanted to be away from home and your regular 9-5 job.

Haven't seen Milo flogging his T-shirts and belt buckles for a while now, and he's only an hour from here. Those things were bargain bin material years ago. A friend from back home was sitting on the #2 whitetail before Hanson dropped him to #3. There were no fortunes made on that one. The Jordon buck held the top spot for 70 some years. Who exactly has made all this talked about money?

Some racks have traded hands for some fair coin but other than that, not much that I know of. A guy like Shockey in the business already could capitalize on it but most hunters couldn't. I'm sure you'd have a basement full of camo clothing and deer scents though...lol

Milo made his fortunes and retired in the Carribean, where he squandered it all on cheap booze and expensive women...
