Only Colt can make a Colt revolver.
Only Valmet made the exempted Valmet AK type rifles.
Only Sterling made the Sterling Police Carbine.
Similar, even identical, guns made by the other manufacturers are not Colts, Valmets or Sterlings.
Any push to get a SPC clone on the market is more likely to get the SPC prohibited, than the clone approved.
Classification of the SPC as semi auto goes back to the '60s. They were 24 pounds Sterling, FOB Dagenham. Pre-dates Hasselwander. A SPC will not meet the current SCoC standard for conversion to auto.

Reminds me of a question I have been wondering for a while... I registered and imported more than one original Sterling Dagenham made MK4 Police Carbines at the same time. For only ONE of the guns, they sent me the little numbered registration sticker to paste on it with the reg certificate. My suspicion is someone has tried to register a fake/clone Sterling with the same serial number - or is there some other reason only one gun would have received the little sticker?
