Perhaps it's been mentioned, but....
One problem with the SKS or any 7.62x39 is ammo.
Most guys buy these guns because they're inexpensive and use cheap ammunition.
'Trouble is... The "cheap" ammo is all steel core and therefore unusable during many matches.
Any match using steel targets will probably NOT let steel core ammo to be used.
So... You may have thought yourself financially prudent by buying an inexpensive rifle, but... You're gonna blow a wad of cash on suitable ammo.
