It is with deep sadness I announce the sudden passing of our friend Ken Soucie. Ken was one of the strongest supporters of IDPA, and our first Five Gun Master classified shooter. Additionally. Ken held three State Championships in ESR and one Provincial title. He was active as a Safety Officer Instructor for IDPA as well as the local Area Contact and sat on IDPA Canada National Council.

Ken provided invaluable support to myself and his wise council will be missed.

Our sympathies and prayers are extended to his wife Carol and family on their sad loss.

R.B. (Bob) Bonenfant
IDPA Area Coordinator - Canada

ken was a great guy and he will indeed be missed. im not even sure what to say but i think that for everybody that knew him were all shocked. ken was a superb guy and ill miss him on practice nights and matches.

My sicerest condolences.

Met Ken back in March, was very impressed by his instruction at the IDPA orientation course. Sad to see a fine man gone too soon.

Shocked with disbelief, a huge blow to the IDPA community, a skilled gunsmith/marksman and retired soldier, this will impact every shooter in the Windsor area, what a sad day.
Condolences to his Wife Carol and the boys as well as his extended family at Windsor Action Pistol & General Gun and Supply

He also served three years as Essex Regiment Seargent Major in the Essex Kent Scottish. He was a toolmaker by trade and was recognized as the best gunsmith in Ontario. Sports was his passion, along with a ride on his Harley accompanied by his many brothers. He sure was well known. He has been a fixture in Windsor Ontario shooting scene since his retirement from the army in the late 90's I believe. He will leave a very large hole in the community.

My Condolences to his family and all who will feel his loss.
