With Everything Going On......

Obama's not stupid. He knows anything drastic won't fly and will leave him with nothing. He'll close off the gun show and private sales loop holes and probably push for better controls for keep guns out of crazy people's hands. He might go for a 10 round mag limit, but that's starting to get into grey territory in terms of if it'll pass through congress.

I bought a lower and always keep another LPK handy for spare parts.

i just get a chuckle thinking about how the hoplophobes in the USA are gonna grab all the guns that are deemed 'evil'. Molon Labe; comes to mind. :evil:

It weighs heavier, but honestly, unless he just wants to pass one executive order after the next, he still has to go through the house and congress before any bills become law. It would be a different story if the Democrats controlled all three parts of US government. But they don't.
 
I see the writing on the wall hehehe
While I'm not so much an AR guy, I figured it was wise to welcome a quality, nicely equipped 14.5" into the stable. ;) current situations stateside are only going to serve to raise prices on everything gun related. Supply and demand... And it's obvious there no slowing the demand

Did you buy a Norinco? The US plays no role in Norinco prices.
 
Unfortunately right after the shooting, I went on a short tasking, and have been going at it until March'ish. I haven't had a chance to stock up on anything, or look at retailers stock. I'm actually quite content with my current holdings of a few firearms. I could always use extra LPKs. I just had to order a new Glock barrel which FINALLY came into stock again...and is now being shipped. With that, I also bought some XS big dots for the glock. But nothing for my Black Rifles. I'm actually looking more for cheap ammo (223/556 and 9mm)...

I have been jonesing for a 12.5 or similar length FF rail so that I could replace the carbine length rail on my 14.5. Then pick up some troy sights.
But it seems all retailers are out. Even the NEA ones. I don't know whether I should trust the YHM diamond ones.
 
Ended up purchasing 2 AR's from EE both made in the states.

RRA 20"
Core 15 DI 16"

Best possible scenario the anti-gun lobby fails miserable and there will be a steady flow of american guns into canada (in which case still got 2 awesome ar's at a good price)
Worst case scenario AWB all AR manufacturer's shut down or retool for other weapons and I got 2 american made ar's that will only go up in price.

Honestly though for parts/magazines there is still always NEA and various smaller manufacturers in Canada so dont see that as a huge problem.

If you want to cover the gas block on your 14.5" barrel with a YHM diamond series get the Spectre length.
If you want to keep the FSB then get the Carbine length.
You can also buy the end cap and the additional screws to pretty it up. The nut and lock ring are included with the handguard.
You will also need the YHM wrench to tighten their lockring as well as the standard armorers wrench.

I have the Spectre length diamond series and it's a nice rail but quite fat around compared to a LaRue or a Daniel Defense.
I'll try to post a few pics when I get home.
