With just a little pocket change.

Someone hook me up with this guy's pension plan funds..and I thought some of my rifles were expensive!

I think I smell a half million dollar safe queen.

It's one of those things, where if you have to ask "How Much" you can't afford it. There was another one in an article in Shooting Times magazine many years ago. It was in a New York collection. The author and owner took it to a range, with controlled ammunition, that was hand loaded to mil spec for trials and each fired a mag full through it. The pistol was insured for $1million. I guess the economy has brought prices down sharply.

The Chinese were going to build some in 45 acp. I never followed up on whether they did or not.

i wonder if we will ever see any of those chinese broomhandle mauser clones. would love to seebone

My understanding on these firearms was that the demo guns were pretty much destroyed during the testing phase, and those that survived the tests were destroyed afterwards.

Rumour had it that only a couple survived, making them ultra-rare, no doubt explaining the high price being asked at auction.

That would be the centerpiece of anyones collection.
