WK-180C Gen1?

The more I read it, the more I feel this is the same situation as the Ross Rifle, an rifle designed for sport put in the wrong environment.

Something along those lines. If most of the fails happen during competition then it's not a gun designed for it.

They built it to a price point (cheap as they could sell it for).

OP - Just shoot it until something breaks then ask Owen at Kodiak for parts to fix it. Used rifle, you'll probably have to pay for them.

Many dealers are still selling them as factory seconds for $950, brand new. Used should not be more than $750 since you have to upgrade/replace parts. But kind of normal as a newbie to get excited, happened to me too. When I check the prices at my local dealer, I am wondering what they are smoking.

Ha OP saw your thread, I'm the guy with the WK181. I can only share my experiecne of my WK181 but it uses a different gas piston design so it doesn't help, I'm at 2000 rounds no issues.

But yeah my understanding from searching a lot on these guns before I decide to order the WK181, is that the original WK in 5.56 wasn't the best but you know, if you fix the parts it should work. But yes, Reddit seem to overblow it a lot and from reading comments, from Reddit it sounded like Kodiak didn't even try to fix or solve issues people had, but in reality they provide free parts. Since oyu aren't original owner I'm not sure either for warranty. Admittedly I think paying 1000$ for it used was a bit much to.

Like someone else said it nicely IMO, I wouldn't really want to go to war with it as a "super reliable" gun but for range shooting I'd consider it for sure.
