WK/MCR spring loaded charging track dust cover possible, like FN FNC/Galil ACE?

I saw on Ian at Forgotten Weapons latest video the FN FNC has a popup charging track dust cover, which was also apparently copied for the Galil Ace. Could a similar dust cover be installed on an MCR or WK post-factory with the right drilling equipment? Would it be possible for MCRs with their metal side panels, and the upcoming Lynx uppers to have this either has a factory installed panel or an optional purchasable add on panel? Just a thought? Thanks!

As I recall this has been asked before, and it comes down to a "No" due to extra cost.

You'd have to fabricate your own solution if you want the FN-type lifting cover, or there's the SIG 550 style plastic curtain.
