Anyone had any success with aftermarket triggers in the wk chambered in x39? Specifically using surplus ammo. Anyone try any that didn't work?

Thanks.

I know any AR15 trigger will fit. But can they handle the hard primers on surplus ammo?

Think about this question a bit and the answer will come to you .................

Here is a hint.

I have a gen 1 wk180 in the 7.62x39. Tried the trigger tech AR duty and the Larue MBT-2S. I'm not sure my receiver is out of spec, but I had issues with each. The Trigger tech had soft strikes and the Larue wouldn't reset properly.

I have a WS-MCR with the updated lower and a 7.62x39 upper.

I used the Hiperfire Heavy Gunner trigger. Worked perfectly with everything other than Czech surplus. Would get the occasional light primer strike.

I've got 7 or 8,000 rounds of Czech, so I ended up adding a Wolff AR-15 "Extra Power" Hammer Spring #30093. Problem solved.

Now it will touch off anything I feed it at no real increase to the trigger pull weight.

Awesome, that's exactly the kind of information I'm looking for. Thank you.

So I ended up ordering the Heavy Gunner. What a great trigger. Worked great with Chinese surplus and nowhere near the stock 8lb+ pull. Thanks again for the recommendation. I've got a line on a hammer spring as well. I'm looking forward to installing it as I have several hundred rounds of Czech ammo to use up.
