WK180-C Aftermarket Wishlist

I’m interested in hearing what irons and optics people are thinking with these.

Also which pistol mags are decent? I’m new to this type of rifle so please forgive my “newbness”

I've been thinking about that. Probably start with some DD irons and work with those for a while to keep her light. If I want to do accuracy testing or yote hunting I'll slap on an optic, probably my Bushnell engage 3-12.

This is a good looking set-up IMHO. I have had this stock before and really liked it. I think it really suits the look of the WK180.
Only problem is price point. CTCS has it listed at $199 without the required buffer tube included.
Not sure if 1/4 the price of the rifle for a stock is worth it.

Will probably use the Magpul MOE Fixed Stock I am currently running on an AR-15. It looks good and gets the job done.
At 29.00 USD it follows the Wolverine philosophy of Knock about "inexpensive" rifle.

I always liked the VZ stock on it;

I want that flash hider...

I think a better (and cheaper) option would be an adapter trunnion to accept AK stocks. Instead of shelling out hundreds for the ACR or FAST stocks, which are nice, but overpriced, you could put a simple Magpul MOE AK stock (fixed) or the Zhukov which gives you LOP adjustment, ability to fold, and cheek height adjustment (with addon risers) without the high cost.

I’ve got a vortex crossfire 1-4x24 with the illuminated reticle sitting on the shelf. Should be perfect. I’d be curious to hear about the magazines as well.

I understand that people find rails and locking slots on handguards to be useful, but they are absolutely hideous to my eye. In fact, I have never seen any kind of free floating handguard that looked decent. My number one desire would therefore be a classic sort of handguard arrangement: supported at the back by the receiver; at the front by the gas block; with the only holes being for ventilation. And no dammed rails, anywhere.

How are you to mount sights?

I ordered a set of Magpul Pro sights. I also picked a couple CPD pistol mags and a couple MFT polymer mags.

I was looking at the Vortex Strike Eagle 1-8 and the Primary Arms 1-8 for a scope. Is that overkill for magnification?

I don’t think it’s overkill at all, 8x would be nice when you want to shoot off the bench or do longer range shooting. I’ve got my eye on some of the leupold scopes, I like how leupold keeps their scopes lightweight and trim. VX6 1-6 and the new VX-5HD both look really nice.

Thanks. I wasn’t sure given the expected accuracy of these (approx 2 moa)

The Leupolds are nice for sure but getting up there in price for a $1K rifle

Yes, I won’t likely be springing for one of those nice higher power leupolds. Having more than 4x is a nice luxury but certainly not required. If you go for 8 X great, certainly not overkill. For the money 4X does the job on a gun like this.
