I’m doing my PAL/RPAL course this weekend and will be applying for my license right after. I wanted to try and get on a waiting list to pick up a WK180-C as soon as possible; does anyone know if its possible to order one without a license and then present it upon pickup when it eventually becomes available? Any suggestions for who has them in Ontario? I understand there’s a huge waiting list to get them.
 
You need a PAL to purchase a firearm. As for finding a WK, I wouldn't bother putting your name down on a list; either check out the equipment exchange here, or check out dealers online. You'll come across one.
 
Sweet. Yeah i know i couldnt actually purchase it, more just wanted to find out how hard they are to actually get once i can.
 
No need to pre-order these. I actually was able to buy one "off the shelf" before the one I pre-ordered eventually showed up.

Do your course, wait for your license, then simply go buy one.

do this and order one from a dealer from outside your province and save some on the taxes for ammo or accessories

There’s an indoor shooting range in Winnipeg, Manitoba called Extreme Shooting. They have a WK-180 on their shop wall available for purchase. I don’t know how they might feel about shipping, but might be worth a phone call.
 
Yeah I figure ill get a WK180-C (ahem.. and a can cannon), eventually a Marlin 1895SPL 45-70 which everyone needs in their life, and a 9mm P330 which is first on my list. Now im just trying to find me a good scope. Oh and when I win the lottery a tac-50.
