Has anyone installed TNA’s Hbar on their Wk180c? The factory barrel has a snap ring and pre drilled dimples for the gas block set screws. TNA’s hbar does not have either. There is some play between the Hbar and the factory gas block. Should I be concerned about the gas block moving? The factory set screws are tapered to fit the dimples. This doesn’t allow for more than 2 1/2 turns before the screws bottom out on the Hbar and I think I may strip the set screws if I torque them to spec.
Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks Adam.

Well I got 6 rounds off without a hiccup and then that was it. The gas block moved forward enough as to not engage the piston.
I’ll fire off an email to TNA to see if they have any suggestions. Failing that I’ll bring it to Gunco and have the barrel drilled for the set screws and/or to accept a snap ring.

TNA sells barrel dimpling jigs if you want to do it yourself, one thing that could help would be to get new setscrews from kodiak or TNA as mine had small serrations on the bottom to dig into the barrel slightly and they are basically one time use. Also don't be too afraid of stripping the screws as its a steel gas block and can handle a decent amount of torque in my experience and I would also recommend using loctite on the setscrews

Just got a reply from TNA and they suggested the same. I’m going to drop it off at Gunco and have Jason drill the dimples and cut a track for a snap ring.

I've dimpled AR barrels using the gas block as a guide and a cordless drill. You don't need much of a dimple to make it secure.

It's not rocket appliances.

Just ordered one from TNA. I’ll let you know how it goes. I just happen to have an honorary degree in rocket surgery from the school of brute force and ignorance.

Got my order from TNA today, drilled some dimples, installed the gas block (which covered my handy work nicely lol) and hopefully off to the range tomorrow. I’ll post the results.
