WK180C Gen 2 Released at Shot Show 2022 Pictures linked to

Very promising development and shows the company has taken steps to improve what has been common customer complaints about certain parts.

Before I spend money on one I want to see one with an Eotech or Huey bolted on that top rail.
That will tell me all I need to know on just how "improved" this second gen is....

no brass deflector, thats an odd decision... and no oblivious means of attaching an after market one? other than that i like it!

I really don't get why people (I'm not being specific to you) care so much about brass deflectors. At absolute worst you get a little brass mark on your gun, the thing that gets covered in carbon and more.

I just don't get why people give a fish.

Leftys care because brass can smoke us in the face in extreme cases, and something I just saw recently in Polenar tactical's vid on a M16A1 (which lacks a real defelctor) was that it actually managed to spit hot brass down the back of the lefty shooters tshirt. Bottom line is that it's easy to do and is a standard in the industry currently

Wouldn't a Huey be a bit big, I mean really an old transport helicopter?
Never knew the skids were waver rail ready.

Hahaha
Huey = Vortex AMG UH1
Kodiak wasn't competent enough to build their pic rails to spec on the first gen WK, so those of us wanting to run an Eotech or Huey were SOL. I'm not holding my breath that the gen 2 will be much better, but I wish the early adopters the best of luck

Just grow tougher skin, being hit in the face with a casing every time you fire will increase your ability to operate under stress, temporary or permanent blindness is a feature not a problem.

In seriousness: Good point I had not considered the heretical lefties that make up 10% of the population

It may be they've changed the ejector to kick rounds out a little differently

It it significant as most replacement or aftermarket .223 AR barrels that would keep it non-restricted are going to be rifle length gas, and the fact that rifle length is far superior - adjustable gas block or not.

I hear you, but given the turmoil this gat went through to get fully functional I am happy to see it where it is. If Other companies want to offer rifle length on the side and as you said there's a plethora of AR barrels around than that's fine by me.

If it genuinely was such an issue I think we'd see a lot more change towards rifle length than the half hearted efforts we've gotten thus far

I had no trouble putting an Eotech on my WK-180.

Mind you; I have a milling machine. LOL.

Take a breath, sit down, have you got some whisky ready? Yes, good.

I spoke to kodiak, they haven't fixed the rail.

My Elcan remains unused, this is infuriating

Sound like you want the Lynx, when SBI releases it; it will have a proper 1913/Picatinny rail.

I'll get a new model to throw 10k through but I'm personally moving on from Canadian made rifles full stop.

I might keep an MCR but I'm fortunate enough to be able to buy a B&T, X-95 etc. So at this point for my personal situation I 'm moving on
