WK180c or T97 FTU

What type of accuracy did your rifle achieve?
Do you agree with earlier remarks regarding long cycle times?
What sorts of problems, if any, did you experience (picky with mags?) and did you ever contact the warranters? Thanks :)

Zero problems of any kind as far as reliability goes. Mostly shot bulk American Eagle throuh it. Accuracy was not quite as good as a cheap AR rifle but was plenty good enough to hit my 12'' square steel plates at 100 and 200 yards as fast as I could hit them. Didn't try for accuracy on paper because that's not what I used it for but I would guess it would be around 3-4 moa. Better ammo may have done better but I didn't try. Cycle time was probably a bit slower than an AR rifle but still functioned as fast as you could pull that mile and a half long trigger pull. It worked great with metal 10 round pistol mags but poly mags were a no go.

No disappointments with the gun. It was a fun little bullet blaster.

Thanks for the feedback. We had a few emails about the t97, people wanting new charging handles and a few other parts. I thought I would just ask you guys to see if its a project we should look at. Thanks again guys!

Is there anything you could do to enhance the trigger?

Some people have shortened the trigger travel but I wouldn't even do that. The trigger for the linear hammer is not something I would mess with. It's never going to have a crisp break, that's just the nature of it's design. Light and smooth and creepy is the best you can hope for imo

Unless someone had an idea for a whole new trigger pack. It IS modular, in theory.

I decided to go with a new 180, thanks everyone. Next up is a C7 so the tac guys dont make fun of me. :)

Good choice.
I played with both. Here's my rating in their stock form:
Reliability: T97
Accuracy: WK180 has a slight edge
Ergonomic: WK180
Cost: T97

If I had to pick up one of them out of box and go to war tomorrow, I will pick T97 every time because in out of the box form, WK180 is not reliable enough to depend one's life on it. I have experienced piston breakage, pins walking out, stock tube loosening, and many small issues on my WK180.

Reason I picked WK180 over T97 is for the potential it offers. Doesn't like the trigger? Change it out. Doesn't like the accuracy? Put in a better barrel. IMO that's what wolverine and kodiak really got right for the whole WK180 project. In the long run, after the initial kinks has been worked out WK180 is truly several levels above the T97. In fact I think it's nearly on par with XCR-L and ACR which costs twice as much. I say nearly for the sole reason that big openings on the side of the receiver contributing to potential reliability concern.
