WK308-A. The concept

I am certain a lot of us would "just go buy one" if FAL was not prohibited in Canada.

FAL and FNC are both prohibited by name in the Firearms Act if I am not mistaken :)

probably the only reason people would want to get them, just because they are not allowed for the masses

Could also be there's something special about the look that people are wishing for.
There's another matter too. The look of the AR-180b with the flat sides of the receiver and overall blockiness really does resemble a FAL or FNC.
Also, I'm certain there are members here that served in the military (Canadian or otherwise) with either the FNC or FAL (or both) and wish they had bought one for civilian ownership before the prohibition took place.

For Example:

Here are the FN FAL variants.

And here's a FN FNC.

And here's a AR-180b (I couldn't find a nice photo of the WK-180c) for reference.

To be honest, unless it's under1400, I'll just go get a bcl102, just for the fact that it looks a lot better than the boxy wk180c.
I actually would prefer a 180b ish look myself. The more choices for consumers the better. Heck buy em both if you can! Canadian made baby!

Why would a 308 cost much more than a 223 to manufacture?

I’ve heard that the huge AR-15 market in the US just drives down the cost of the various 5.56 parts. Conversely, the relative rarity of “AR-10” rifles means a lot of little things add up.

Wish somebody would make an NR clone of the FNC1A1. Somehow.

Isnt that what we all want though ?
I know that there was a couple of people here saying otherwise but I personally am getting kinda burnt out how everything is AR look alike. Even if the wk308 have similar internals to the WK180, but beefed up to run .308 I'd rather it have that FNC1 shape overall.
But even if it doesnt and just looks like an all-around beefedup wk180 more competition in the NR-Semiauto.308 market would be lovely .

But we all know we’ll never see an NR clone of the FN.
Not with the “variant” loophole they’ve made for themselves.

Heck just earlier this morning I had the stapler confiscated right off my desk.. Uzi variant apparently.
Who knew?

Ya no, just go buy one then.

Just copy the 180, slightly scaled up, controls and feel all the same so it's a good big brother, shooting it would be second nature, and easy field strip.
Carbine size/look as much as possible, there are more than enough big long range cannons out there.
Ambi everything
"Just go buy a prohib"

fudd logic
