Is anybody running one of these BCG's? I searched and haven't found anything on this forum. Some positive reviews on other US based forums. I'm hoping somebody has some first hand experience with these.

Thanks, Andrew.

I got my WMD BCG in the mail to day, here are some pics, I'm pretty happy with it, no rough machining marks and it's staked very well.

I don't like from your pictures is that there is no markings on the head of the socket cap screws.

Seems to be a fair amount of abrasive material lodged between the screw heads and the gas key.

I should of taken the picture at an angle, the staking puts a good dent in the screw head, you just can't see it in the pic because the staking also pushed some steel over the screw head.

I noticed that material in their, I was able to scrape and shake most of it out, not an issue as far as I can see.

I should correct myself. I do not like that the bolt heads are unlabled, no manufacturer or grade markings.

As far as the material, it is probably final polish media that was not throughly cleaned.

Otherwise I like it, I prefer the satin chrome look and want something like it for my AR.

I see what you mean, yeah I never even thought about it, they are supposed to be grade 8 fasteners.

Soooooooo tempting to buy....... Must resist......... Waiting for Spikes Tactical NiB BCG.............darn it.........

As for the fasteners, typically its not common to find grade markings on Allen head cap screws of that size. At least all the grade rated ones I have used over the many years. Possibly the plating process removed any if they did exist.

They are Grade 8 hardened from WMD (as they say in their product specs, and I have one)...but out of curiosity...anyone know who labels the gas keys besides YFS (which I won't buy)? I've got a bunch of bcg's and not one has any markings on them...but they all come from reputable manufacturers who state they are Grade 8.

I don't work with standard enough, but on metric socket cap screws down to m6, they have the manufacture and grade stamped into the head of the screw.

The Spikes NiB BCG was my first choice, but when I inquired about ordering one I was told it would be a minimum 4-5 month wait, so I decided to go with the WMD NiB BCG.

By the way I got mine a CTC Supplies.
