Mar 1 to May 31 is open to snow geese in WMU 65 (eastern Ontario) due to what's classified as an over abundant species.
Now my question is, does anyone know where they are!!??
I am in the southern part along the St.Lawrence which is generally ripe with Canada's during the fall, but haven't seen any snow's.
Any ideas??

I never see any around Cornwall. Mom says she sees them all the time north of Highway 43.

Do they still have to be on agricultural property to be legal to hunt during the extended season?

we're half way between long sault and the 43 and last march 4 and 5th we had thousands of them in our cornfields but they never went in the soybean fields right next to them. this year it's all left over soybean so I don't expect them to land. this year it'll all be corn so we'll see what happens next spring.......

they were flying low enough we could have shot some as they flew over the gazebo and over the house. this was one of the first bunch to leave one of the field late in the day. we have a much bigger playhouse for the kids now and you could literally site in it and shoot as they fly over.......... LOL

Guess I'm going to go for a drive in the next couple of weeks to figure out locations.

Good luck if your going to try your hand at hunting spring snows (hope you have a pile of decoys) it'll be a few weeks before they are anywhere near Ontario. This winter is hanging on tight but once the snow starts to pull back they'll show up in waves
Let us know how you make out. When you get under a twister of whites it really gets yer blood pumping!
