wolf ammo

I bought 1000 rounds of .45acp and 2000 rounds of 9mm, and have gone through about 100 of each, absolutely no problems. For those of us unsure about reloading, Wolf's Ammo is a great alternative.:D

Yeah I have heard Wolf makes (relatively speaking) cheap bulk packs of .30 Carbine ammo. Anyone have experience with this/know where to get it?

I used some a while back and found it to be very dirty. The pistol stuff was running on the hot side so I just finished off what I had and thats the last time I ever had any. The steel cases were a bit of a pain but at the prices they were, it was throwaway anyways..

I've gone through about 1800rnds of .223 in a Bushy, and had ZERO(0) problems of any kind. It doesn't seem to be any dirtier than other brands either

I would let Wolf ammo even near any of my guns. Too many horror stories with their product over the years to make me even want to try it. If it was for sale in Canada, then great, all of you guys can shoot that crap.

For me and my experiences with Wolf ammo.....its an accident waiting to happen IMO.

I thinkyou got the wrong Wolf. :) The original post is about Wolf Ammo not Wolf Bullets(the reloader from Kingston).

You say that you wouldn't let wolf ammo near your guns, but then say in your 'experience' its an accident waiting to happen.

Are you just meaning your experience reading other peoples experiences or have you actually used the ammo. Also could you please pass on or link some of these 'horror stories"?

Im not trying to insult you. I have just found some wolf ammo and am getting as much info before I decide to proceed with purchase.

I've watched friends use Wolf ammo and wreck some of their guns, that's my personal experience. Add to the fact that you go to any American gun forum and you have two types of Wolf Ammo buyers:

1-cheap bastards that will feed crappy ammo through their guns because its the cheapest, regardless of the companies shoudy QC and accidents.

2-people who won't touch the stuff because its cheap, has no QC to speak of and is dirty, steel cased and have seen others have problems with it.

I am a firm #2 on this, Wolf Ammo is crap, stick to a major manufacturer and enjoy shooting sports in a safe way.

You want evidence of how bad Wolf Ammo is? Do a search at Glocktalk.com or AR-15.com, you will get all the info you need about Wolf Ammo. If your comfortable shooting it after listening to all these stories, more power to you, at least your shooting cheap crap. Make sure your will is up to date.

I bought 220 rounds of Wolf HP and 200 rounds of Wolf FMJ for the 7.62x39mm. Shoots like crap, quite inaccurate. Czech and Norinco steel cased outshoots it by quite a bit. Bought my ammo from a gunshow, there are always people selling Wolf at the shows. Also bought some Brown Bear JHP for the x39, its the worst ammo I have ever shot. Stinks like ####, and shoots all over the paper, kinda like a shotgun pattern.
