Hi everyone, can you answer my question?

where i can find wolf ammo (made in russia) in quebec, or ship to quebec?
do you know a shop?
I want to use this ammo cause i dont want to clean my riffle every time i use it.
thank alot

i dont think you can buy it in canada just the US, the RCMP would not approve it or some crap like that . we are stuck with windex in our barrels

I spoke to Barnual factory people at Shot Show. Most of their ammo (7.62x39 and 7.62x54 for sure) approved for import to Canada under brand name Barnaul. They use Berdan primer but claim it's non-corrosive. Since it's new production and not a surplus ammo it's not cheap. They have an exclusive contract with Canadian importer and we may see this ammo here soon...

ok thank, yeah the canadian and windex!!

Do you know another 7.62x39 with non-corrsive primer sell in canada?
if yes, where?
price?
thank

Prvi Partizan(PPU) available at cabela's canada/wholesale sports Expensive (compared to milsurp) 20$ /20rnds It's a soft point 123gr bullet with non corrosive primer

Edit: beaten! But yeah what he said :)

Wolf ammo buys from all the Russian factories. Barnaul, Novosibirsk, Amursk and Ylianovsk.
At present time Barnaul and Novosibirsk are approved. Ulianovsl and Amursk are going through that. ALL OF THEM HAVE EXCLUSIVE DISTRIBUTORS. I put it in capital for those who will try to contact them. None will work with anybody who did not help them get approval. This what was told to me by Barnaul, Novosibirsk Amursk and Ulianovsk. You want to waste your time then contact them.
Barnaul and Novosibirsk should be on the market this summer. The rest late fall. Have to buy from distributors or wholesaler to get it at lower cost. Case will get it in the lower bracket.
One thing for sure gold line in Wolf is Novosibirsk (bimetal). Lower grade is Barnaul. So Barnaul would be a bit cheaper. I don't think casing is non corrosive in Barnaul. This is why it is cheaper.

Some additional info for those who didn't know, Barnual ammo is known on north american market under trade names Brown Bear, Silver Bear, and Golden Bear.

As a side note, I used some Brown Bear 7.62x39mm ammo I picked up at a gun show last year in Regina. That ammo stinks and is the worst ammo I have ever shot through my 7.62x39mm rifles. Accuracy was awful, made norinco silverbox look like Lapua Match ammo. It did not group, it patterned. Tried it in several SKS rifles, CZ858 and a CZ 527. That was for the Brown Bear FMJ loads. Wolf JHP ammo is less accurate that czech ammo, group sizes were about double for Wolf vs. Czech. The most accurate surplus steel cased I have used is Norinco Silverbox, shoots about 2.5 MOA out of my 527 consistantly. Handloads in comparison are a solid 1 MOA for multiple 5 shot groups, measured edge to edge.

Sorry Teapot have to disappoint you. It is not all from Barnaul . Gold Brown bear from Novosibirsk, Brown is from Barnaul and Silver is from Amursk. All it is the brand name. They put all kind of ammo in the box. Some of their ammo not from Russian at all. They put in the box whatever is cheaper. This is why we have bad reviews. Wolf used to do that but now they change their strategy because of the remarks that you have on top of my post. People now when they receive crap. :)

Sergey, let me disagree with you. Below is the pictures from the DKG Trading Inc. american importer and Barnaul catalog "for Canada" (I'm not at liberty to disclose Canadian importer)

I guess I was wrong. This is what was said on USA websites.

I know who is the Canadian Importer. :) Teapot Jokov Jakovlevich told you who it is?
